About relationship…

Tell me what you want, but when you are in a relationship is inevitably different from what it was, really. Does a perfect relationship exist?! Who knows, maybe I would say. People talk a lot about it, but no one can give an answer to this question. I want to believe in it, I want to believe in the fact that it exists, that we can continue to be what it was and have a relationship, serenely, without stress or worries. Impossible? No, I want to believe that can happen. But facts show that this is not possible, or at least not yet, in my case. Because the relationship, either if you want or not want , it is often a limit. It is said that if you really love you can not think that way. I say the opposite and above all I am sure that love has nothing to do with it. It’s all about understand each other, to accept it, and enjoy what the relationship brings to you. Because when both are happy then it benefits the couple, but if only one is not, fully, then here is the trouble…

 

Ditemi quello che volete, eppure quando si è in una relazione inevitabilmente si è diversi da ciò che si è, realmente. Esiste la relazione perfetta?! Chi lo sa, magari mi verrebbe da dire. Eppure se ne dicono tante, ma nessuno sa dare una risposta a questa domanda. Io voglio crederci, voglio credere al fatto che esista, che si possa continuare ad essere ciò che si è e mandare avanti anche una relazione, serenamente, senza stress o assilli. Impossibile? No, io voglio credere che possa accadere. Però i fatti di ogni giorno mi dimostrano che così non è, o almeno non ancora, nel mio caso. Perchè la relazione, vuoi o non vuoi, spesso è un limite. Si dice che si ama veramente non si può pensarla in questo modo. Io dico il contrario, e soprattutto sono certo che l’amore non c’entri nulla. Sta tutto a capire l’altro, ad accettarlo, e a godersi quello che la relazione porta in dono. Perchè quando entrambi sono felici allora la coppia ne giova, ma se soltanto uno non lo è, appieno, allora so cazzi…

The weeks begins with the Alternative Hip Hop duo from Africa. Alloysious Massaquoi and Kayus Bankole form the group Young Fathers, even if residing in Edinburgh, are respectively from Liberian and Nigeria. The duo began in 2008, and after many vicissitudes and changes of label released their first album “Dead” in 2013. Their music is considered by all as a mixture of experiences and influences that the duo brings with it from their backgrond. I leave you with “I heard” as sweet as reflective song from their new album.

Il lunedì da il via alla settimana con duo Alternative Hip Hop proveniente dalla madre Africa. Alloysious Massaquoi e Kayus Bankole formano il gruppo Young Fathers e, anche se residenti a Edimburgo, sono rispettivamente di origini Liberiana e Nigeriana. ll duo inizia nel 2008 e dopo varie vicissitudini e cambi di etichetta discografica rilasciano il loro primo album “Dead”nel 2013. La loro musica è da tutti giudicata come un misto di esperienze ed influenze che il duo si porta dietro dal loro backgrond. Vi lascio a “I heard” dolce quanto riflessivo brano del loro nuovo album.

Emancipation of women

 

Emancipation of women:  this is a hot  conversation, especially among women, but does it really exist?! In Italy I would say “NI”, abroad a lot, so much. Often you are invited to dinner by women and often women are the ones who pay, offer a drink or even a weekend away. Abroad a woman is really emancipated, in Italy no, either according to the tradition that man has to play the part of the gentleman, either according to a matter of culture, but the figure of the emancipated woman is a rare figure. Convenience or compulsion? Eternal dilemma. The fact is, however, that a man who lets a woman pay is always something weird. Or painful, depending on your point of view. We pay, period. But it is really all about the place where you live in. And even in this case Italy is age behind…

 

Se ne parla tanto, soprattutto tra le donne, eppure esiste davvero?! In Italia direi NI, all’estero tanto, tantissimo. Addirittura si è invitati a cena da donne e spesso sono proprio le donne che pagano, offrono un drink o addirittura un weekend fuori. Perchè all’estero la donna è emancipata nel vero senso della parola, in Italia, vuoi per la tradizione che vuole l’uomo fare la parte del gentiluomo, vuoi per una questione di cultura o restrittezza mentale, ma la figura della donna emancipata è davvero una figura rara. Comodità o costrizione? Eterno dilemma. Sta di fatto che comunque un uomo che si lascia pagare da un donna fa sempre un certo effetto. O pena, dipende dai punti di vista. Noi paghiamo, punto. Ma è davvero tutto legato al luogo in cui vivi. E anche in questo, ahimè, l’Italia è ancora tanto indietro…

There are dreams that come true, others that remain just what they are, dreams. I’ve experienced one, intensely, and I can assure you that I got the taste of seeing a dream come true. It ‘a magical feeling, so intense that you find it difficult to realize it. Walking with the toothy grin, trying happiness, the real one, you feel just satisfied, almost like a God, and then you can enjoy it all as you had never done before, because you know what it means to have made ​​sacrifices, you know what it means to be in a position that hopes, dreams indeed. A dream come true is like a baby who wants to become a star, or flying without wings. A dream come true is the most beautiful thing can happen to you in life. Lately I’ve been trying again that feeling, I’ve been dreaming again and you know what? Do not wake me up!

 

Ci sono sogni che si avverano, altri che rimangono tali. Ne ho vissuto uno, intensamente, e posso garantirvi che ho assaporato il gusto di vedere un sogno realizzarsi. E’ una sensazione magica, talmente intensa che fai fatica a rendertene conto. Cammini con il sorriso a trentadue denti, provi la felicità, quella vera, ti senti soddisfatto, quasi un Dio, e riesci poi a goderti tutto come mai avevi fatto prima, perchè sai cosa significa aver fatto sacrifici, sai cosa significa trovarsi nella posizione di chi spera, sogna appunto. Un sogno realizzato è come quando da piccolino vuoi diventare famoso, oppure volare con le ali in poppa. Un sogno realizzato è quanto di più bello possa accaderti nella vita. E sarà che sono alcuni giorni che sto riprovando quell’ebrezza di sognare sapete che vi dico?! Non svegliatemi.

In this gray, foggy and melancholy morning  welcome to France. Often not considered in the music world this is a nation that can surprise for the creativity and ingenuity of some artists. Today is the turn of what for me is a sacred monster: Sebastien Tellier. Parisian -born, singer-songwriter, musician , multi-instrumentalist, Tellier is a real creative music guy, brilliant and fanatical in pursuit of sound and its merger with the item. Since 2001, the year of its inception, he has published something like six albums demonstrating to the general public all its eclecticism. It is never taken for granted and is always looking for new musical frontiers. He has collaborated with world artists of great caliber and some of his songs have been used in movies and commercials, take for example “Jockey” included in the soundtrack of the film Lost in Translation by Sofia Coppola. In 2008 he released “Sexuality”, my fav album, fruit of the collaboration of two of his friends, not known, the Daft Punk. 🙂 I leave you with a wonderful mix of two tracks that have made him famous all over the world and represent the culmination of his talent.

In questa mattina grigia e nebbiosa, dal sapore malinconico diamo il benvenuto alla Francia. Spesso sottovaluatata a livello musicale è una nazione che può sorprendere per la creatività e la genialità di alcuni artisti. Oggi è il turno di quello che per me è un mostro sacro, Sebastien Tellier. Parigino di nascita, cantautore, musicista, polistrumentista, Tellier è un vero creativo della musica,geniale e maniacale nella ricerca del suono e della sua fusione con la voce. Dal 2001, anno del suo inizio, ad oggi ha pubblicato ben 6 album dimostrando al grande pubblico tutta la sua ecletticità. Non è mai scontato ed è sempre alla ricerca di nuove frontiere musicali. Vanta collaborazioni mondiali con artisti di grande calibro e alcuni suoi brani sono stati usati in film e pubblicità, prendiamo ad esempio “Fantino” incluso nella colonna sonora del film Lost in Translation di Sofia Coppola. Nel 2008 esce con “Sexuality” album secondo me stupendo frutto della collaborazione di due suoi amici, per nulla conosciuti, i Daft Punk. Vi lascio ad un mix di due Brani stupendi che lo hanno reso famoso in tutto il mondo e che rappresentano la sintesi della sua bravura.
