In 1998 in a sparkling New York city the project Strokers was born thanks to frontman and singer Julian Casablancas. Initially formed by Julian (vocals), Nick Valensi (guitar) and Fabrizio Moretti (drums), the band will be expanded over time to two other elements: Nikolai Fraiture (bass) and Albert Hammond Jr. (guitar) a friend of his father’s footsteps school.
“The Strokes” is a controversial name (punch or movement) according to the idea of frontman to represent the musical impact of the band, sometimes aggressive, others sweet and melodic. Success is guaranteed, and since 1998, including some voluntary breaks, the group has produced 5 albums also collecting influences from rock bands like the Velvet Underground and the Ramones. The day starts with “You only live at once”, a warning to anyone, excerpt from “First Impressions of Earth” (2006).

Have a good start and nice thoughts…

La giornata parte con “You only live at once”, un monito per chiunque, estratto da “First Impression of Earth” (2006).

Buona partenza e buone riflessioni!
